Purpose and goal

The aim of this project was an accelerated commercialization process for Epishine´s indoor PV modules to successfully reach the market. The market activities undertaken in this project have been the basis for preparing a Phase 2 application within the EU call H2020 SME Instruments Submission. On the way, it has also contributed to accelerated time to market as we improved, clarified and concretized our strategic plan, segmentation, technical specification with regard to customer requirements, IP portfolio, an expanded market/business plan, and a financial plan.

Expected results and effects

We have written a well worked through application to a Phase 2 project within the EU call H2020 SME Instruments and have a rollout plan that we believe fulfills the expectations of an H2020 phase 2 project, see attachment. An approved Phase 2 project will significantly accelerate our time to market and also this project has accelerated time to market as we have done an improved marketing and business plan, see attachment that helps us keep moving in the right direction and develop our product according to market needs, we have also secured partners for commercial projects.

Planned approach and implementation

Talking with customers to improve our technical specification and market/business plan has helped us understand their needs better and reach the stage where we can secure partners for commercial projects. Establishing clear and concrete strategies on how to reach the market through market research, business model canvasing and iterations helped us in becoming more concrete and working more according to plan. To write the application for phase 2 of the EU call H2020 SME-instruments has also helped us to see what´s missing in our plan to reach the market and to fill that gap.
