Important results from the project
The project has successfully fulfilled its aim and objective to develop preliminary principles for indexing the impact of the living environment on mental health and quality of life. The work has been carried out in collaboration with the project´s reference group and specialists. Through collaboration between academia, industry and authorities, the project has produced an innovative tool that can measure and analyse how environmental factors impact health. This tool has potential to lead to new solutions that promote quality of life and sustainable societal development.
Expected long term effects
The project has resulted in the development of an innovative tool that measures and analyses the impact of living environments on mental health and quality of life. The preliminary indexing principles developed provides new insights that can improve urban planning. In the long term, this can lead to improved quality of life for individuals and contribute to a more sustainable social development, by creating environments that promote mental health and wellbeing. Knowledge sharing has taken place continuously in close collaboration with the project´s partners.
Approach and implementation
The project followed a structured and interdisciplinary method to analyse the impact of the living environment on mental health. With collaborations between academia, industry and authorities, a robust composition of actors was created. Both quantitative and qualitative methods, including field studies and laboratory experiments. Through continuous feedback and iterative testing, it was ensured that the tool was developed effectively and met the set objective, which strengthens its practical application and credibility.
