Important results from the project

The aim of the project to develop NTM as a whole through further strengthening the four elements of NTM has been accomplished by substantial efforts within all areas. In practice this means actions within: - NTMCalc - NTMEcap - Good examples - Methods

Expected long term effects

At present there is a strong development on GHG reduction through ´Carbon management´. NTM has a strong international position through active participation in CEN, Cofret, and GHG calculation alignment projects. NTM is moreover a key element in several Swedish EU projects, for example Swiftly Green. In essence this means there is a need to keep the full offer up to date and on the fore front in order to remain credible on an international basis which also supports the improvements of transport performance as well as new business opportunities within and outside Sweden.

Approach and implementation

NTMCalc; Development of 9 new ´default´ aircraft data and overview of four existing aircrafts. RoRo and RoPax data has been developed based on the IMO´s EEDI proposal. Development of international buses has been focused on alternative fuels. NTMEcap; The concept has been developed through seven case studies. Methods; In order to strengthening underlying documentation of methods these have been updated in cooperation with experts in different fields. Good examples has been developed within the framework of the new homepage of NTM that will be launched in December 2013.
