Purpose and goal

The NSÖD project will act as a catalyst so that the implemented and ongoing initiatives in open data in municipal activities are disseminated and scaled up at a national level and enable a national power collection to enable Sweden to take a leading position among European countries in the use of open data.

Expected results and effects

Anchor a process for uniform national management and publication of municipal open data that simplifies and stimulates the use of municipal open data for actors.

Planned approach and implementation

Phase 1, compile data initiative, define relevant data sets for implementation in phase 2 and secure partners in later phases of the project. Phase 2, implement tools, publish at least two types of open data for some municipalities, create guidelines, templates and processes as support for the municipalities to publish open data. Create close collaborations with authorities for coordination of APIs and documentation. Phase 3, support municipalities publishing open data and together with authorities anchoring process for uniform national management and publication of open data.
