Purpose and goal

“Blockchain Platform 2025” for the project National Platform for Blockchain Innovation. The project aims to accelerate Swedish implementation of blockchain technology in prioritized industries. The goal of the project is to enable a national collaboration platform that deepens collaboration, knowledge dissemination and strategic mobilization within blockchain technology – with a focus on Swedish areas of strength and societal benefit

Expected effects and result

The project can provide blockchain and other industries with the opportunity to find ways to collaborate. The project aims to create a positive narrative about how blockchain technology can be used in other sectors. The project can also position Sweden regarding concrete uses of blockchain in sectors where Sweden as a nation is already at the forefront. In addition, the project can contribute to Sweden´s work to fulfill the EU´s ambition regarding the "Blockchain and web3 strategy".

Planned approach and implementation

The project is being implemented in two stages. First, we map how blockchain technology is used in Sweden, focusing on strategic areas such as defense, cybersecurity, finance, AI and sustainable supply chains. We analyze obstacles and opportunities for broader use. Then, we gather actors in workshops and dialogues to discuss concrete applications, spread knowledge and promote implementation in different industries.
