Purpose and goal
Close and secure access to accurate measurements traceable to the international SI unit system is a prerequisite for a modern industrial society. SP is the National Metrology Institute in accordance with a specific regulation as well as signatory of a MRA in international metrology. On this basis, the objective is to maintain long-term national measurement standards (measurements within a specific measurement quantity/unit, range and associated accuracy) on a needs-based level with international equivalence and acceptability.
