Purpose and goal
The technical goals has been reached as a multi-modality detector is developed , tested and evaluated with a result confirming measuring ability. From marketing point of view the goal is not reached as the market introduction is depending of using result from other development projects within the company. This was caused by required technical optimization for better use of development resources..
Results and expected effects
The project with Vinnova has generated technical peak competence but also great improvement in market knowledge. From technical point of view it is the knowledge about developing and assembling methods for chips optimized for the unique requirements needed for measuring radiation. From marketing point of view the project has generated knowledge about market needs and distribution channels for the dental market.
Approach and implementation
The project started with a market- and technical research including; visits to manufacturers of Dental X-rays, mapping of the big variety of makes for which a new instrument should function and interviews with End Users. Based on the research the developing was planned. Optimizing of development resource made it necessary to change instrument platform for the detector which has caused delays in market introduction.
