Purpose and goal
The goal for the project was to get an IP strategy for Mimbly that would contain all the IP related to the company. It was intended to get a better understanding of the current assets owned by the company and of their value, as well as to know how to handle IP in the future and to prepare for a future investment.
Expected results and effects
Mimbly and Bergenstråhle went through the company´s intellectual assets. Bergenstråhle then performed most of the work, with focus on: - analysis of intangible assets, and their mapping in a value/control space - a landscape analysis was performed to understand Mimbly´s business opportunities and risks from an IP perspective - finally, an "IP Roadmap" has been developed to help Mimbly in its strategic decisions regarding IP.
Planned approach and implementation
The project was estimated to take 4-5 weeks, but the work only started in the end of February, due to a very tight schedule on Mimbly´s side. As a consequence, the project ended later than expected. Bergenstråhle has performed most of the work with Mimbly as a partner. Together, we reviewed all the assets owned by Mimbly.
