Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim has been to strengthen Sweden´s ability to innovate by making better use of national and international test bed capacity. The goal has been to provide a detailed picture of the Swedish and international testbed capacity, to provide insights for better prioritization, management and efforts for Sweden´s and Europe´s testbed capacity. The goal has been met through the report published on the RISE website, as well as through a large number of discussions with Vinnova and other interested parties.

Expected long term effects

The deliverables from the project have consisted of a) a mapping of Swedish test beds and their current international activities as well as five-year ambitions, b) approaches over test beds in eight key markets, c) a handbook for the internationalization of test beds, and d) a recommendation to Vinnova to establish an "International Support Office" for continuous internationalization support for Swedish test beds. Expected effects are that more Swedish test beds reach world class through increased international presence and gain more foreign customers.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The mapping took place through a digital survey that generated data from 143 test beds. The survey has been supplemented with 48 interviews with relevant actors, as well as three workshops with the project´s reference group. The international approaches have been carried out by the Swedish Innovation and Research Council from seven markets, as well as by RISE EU-kontor. In addition, a large amount of material from previous test bed projects has formed the basis of the work. The report, handbook and recommendation are based on input from all these sources.
