Reference number
Coordinator VETENSKAP & ALLMÄNHET, VA - Vetenskap & Allmänhet VA
Funding from Vinnova SEK 50 000
Project duration October 2014 - November 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The objective of the mapping exercise was to map and identify stakeholders in Swedish civil society in order to assist VINNOVA´s information assignment for Horizon 2020. The aim was to collect as much information as possible about relevant stakeholders as well as, in the longer-term, to get more civil society stakeholders to participate in H2020. We believe that the aims and objectives have been achieved as the final report has been submitted to VINNOVA.

Results and expected effects

It is hoped that there will be an increased interest by civil society to participate in Horizon 2020 and that Swedish stakeholders from this group, considered by H2020 to be an important one, will take a greater part in research and innovation projects. As this is a long-term project, we are unable to assess its impact today, particularly as concrete measures designed specifically for the target group have not started yet.

Approach and implementation

The work has been carried out in the form of interviews and desk research. We have collected and compiled a lot of relevant information that we have forwarded to VINNOVA. The interviews revealed many practical tips, ideas and suggestions that we have passed on. In our opinion they were of direct relevance to VINNOVA´s assignment. Thanks to our personal contacts and a good prior understanding of the stakeholder group, it was possible to complete the assignment within the limited time available.
