Purpose and goal

The purpose of Manufuture SE is to ensure that Swedish priorities and needs are clearly reflected in Horizon 2020 and therefore it will be easier for Swedish actors to participate. The goal is to strengthen long-term Swedish production research and the competitiveness of businesses related to production through European cooperation

Results and expected effects

Manufuture SE has shown that it is possbile to influence the priorities of European programs thanks to longterm committment. FoFs roadmaps and proposed work programs are in line with the priorities and needs nationally in Sweden. We have also increased the visibility of Swedish production in the European context, and today we are a natural part of the various networks and expert groups consulted by the Commission and other EU bodies. The goal to significantly increase Swedish participation in H2020 is still a major challenge, which we be our focus in the coming year.

Approach and implementation

The work to ensure that program priorities within H2020, mainly Leit / FoF, has mainly been done through active participation in Manufutures and EFFRAs high level groups and various working groups. A strengthened presence in Brussels has contributed to the implementation. To disseminate and gather information about the needs and opportunities, regular meetings was organized, for example via the Pulse Meetings and at physical meetings. We have also strengthened cooperation with the EU SME Support Office thus further stimulate opportunities for participation in H2020 from P2030.
