Important results from the project

The project largely achieved its goals. Work-integrated learning was valued by students and industry, strengthening cooperation between education and working life. A practical training course with Norrköping Airport is in development. Stronger networks were built, and the project is expected to contribute long-term to greater understanding of aviation, higher student satisfaction, and positive effects on sustainability and gender equality.

Expected long term effects

In the long term, the project is expected to lead to an increased understanding of each other´s activities—for the aviation industry as well as for students and teachers—and to contribute to higher student satisfaction. The strengthened networks between education and working life are also believed to promote sustainability and gender equality. Furthermore, the project may eventually create new opportunities for practical training courses and further collaborations between academia and industry.

Approach and implementation

The project established a platform where work-integrated learning methods were tested in collaboration with the aviation industry. The approach included workshops, development and evaluation with industry partners, as well as continuous feedback between academia and the sector. The activities were appropriate and the schedule was largely followed. The cooperation worked well and supports continued collaboration.
