Purpose and goal

A working centre has been developed for R&D co-operation between Sweden and China in the field of materials technology. The intention of gathering stake-holders in both countries has been realized and there are now three larger transnational co-operation projects with their own contractual conditions running. The activities regarding industrial materials have been developed according to plans as well as the new field biomaterials. Potential for further development has also been initiated as intended and expert groups have been gathered in both countries.

Results and expected effects

A co-operation platform has been established for bilateral R&D in the field of materials technology involving actors in Sweden and China. Three different co-operation projects with funding from both countries have been initiated and developed based on this platform. Knowledge how to realize R&D co-operation between China and Sweden has been improved. Active involvement by Swedish companies has been realized and value-chains have been created. New concepts for co-operation have been identified and mechanisms for these have been clarified.
