Purpose and goal

The project helped to highlight the Swedish research and facilitating industrial exploitation of research by organizing a leading international conference in 2013 on the theme of water and its properties in soft materials (ISOPOW). The Conference gave Swedish senior researchers and Phd students a lot of opportunities to showcase their results and relate them to industrial applications. Contributions from leading international researchers from academia and industry created a good atmosphere that ensured fruitful discussions and networking for the future.

Results and expected effects

The conference will result in increased visibility for Vinn Excellence Center SuMo Biomaterials and its researchers, and for ITN network Powtech, and all other participants. All participants from academia and industry had the opportunity to exchange ideas, deepen their expertise, discuss, and network which will lead to increased knowledge level, new partnerships and opportunities for faster innovation. The conference resulted in a abstraktsbok, and a forthcoming conference article. Several conference presentations have been made available on the conference website.
