Purpose and goal
IPOS, Swedish Wood- Innovation POtential for the bio-based Society, is a coordination project in the strategic innovation program BioInnovation, Construction & Design. The overall goal for IPOS´s four sub-projects has been to increase the value of Swedish wood by developing innovative adapted products and efficient processes. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, IPOS has disseminated results from the development of new materials, processes, products and working methods that contribute to Swedish wood being a competitive material.
Expected results and effects
Through networking and joint knowledge dissemination, IPOS has highlighted good examples for stakeholders and the general public. IPOS has been presented in articles, conferences, workshops, digital final conference and a joint report. This leads to increased knowledge and interest in the results and highlights the need for the development of wooden products. Through the projects, customer communication improved, increased confidence regarding properties of wood products, it strengthens consumers credibility and thereby improves the competitiveness of bio-based products
Planned approach and implementation
The coordination project IPOS, coordinator Karin Sandberg RISE, has together with four sub-projects (DP) worked with innovations, material selection, processes and production to customer relations for increased value on Swedish wood.
