Purpose and goal

Antrad Medical AB develops hightech thawing equipment for clinical use and intends to formalize partnership in different areas. With the support from Vinnova the company has been able to assess the current IP situation and to develop a IP strategy for different scenarios for the company, incl partnerships.

Expected results and effects

Assessment of current IP situation with focus on the patent portfolio - We now expect lower costs for patents and a stronger IP situation. Development of a process for identifying and managing patentable ideas during ongoing development project - A new routine/process has been scheduled and implemented for this to secure further product development and long-term profitability. Development of IP strategy based on revenue streams for different scenarios - Completed task.

Planned approach and implementation

The project work has been carried out together with our patent agency BRANN AB. As we have been working with BRANN for many years they already have good knowledge about Antrad. During the project we have allocated more time towards analysing the current IP situation in the company. Thus the developed IP strategy is on a more generic level. But we have also taken steps to implement important elements from the IP strategy into our product development process/routine.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
