Coordinator Stiftelsen Chalmers Industriteknik
Funding from Vinnova SEK 600 000
Project duration November 2012 - February 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the Project was to improve the capability of f3 to be a facilitator for international cooperation , especially for f3 partners. This purpose was fulfilled by developing a common internationalization strategy. The purposes of the strategy are to strengthen the position of f3 and Sweden as a knowledge centre for renewable transportation fuels and to foster mutual knowledge exchange between Sweden and other countries. f3 has, through the project, also developed common awareness of current international activities and a framework for future cooperation with Brazil.

Results and expected effects

f3 will in the future strengthen its international activities within four different areas, in accordance with the internationalization strategy. Collaboration with European counterparts and the coverage of European developments will be strengthened. Cooperation within international research organisations, such as IEA Bioenergy, will be developed. Long-term collaboration with organisations in Brazil will be developed, e.g. through common Projects. Finally, internationally oriented communication will be strengthened.

Approach and implementation

The Project was carried through within Three parallel processes: mapping of ongoing international activitities within the area; development of a common internationalization strategy; and an implementation case study directed towards collaboration with Brazil. The Project was managed by a working Group and monitored by the f3 board, functioning as a Steering Group. All f3 partners were involved at various level - by contributing with facts for the mapping process, participation in the workshops of the strategy process and/or in the studytrip to Brazil.
