Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** International Science Festival Gothenburg, is Sweden´s largest science festival which creates meeting places between the research community, schools, the general public and the industry. We make research available by including the public. The Science Festival is thus an important democratic meeting place that reaches out widely and is perceived as credible, inspiring and creative meeting place. The science festival has gone from being an IRL phenomenon with digital elements to a hybrid event, something we will continue to develop.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We have gone from having created meeting places mainly in physical form in Gothenburg with around 50 000-60 000 visits to most recently conducting a completely digital event with hybrid elements with around 56,000 visits. In this way, we have gone from having reached out widely in the West Sweden region to also reaching out throughout the whole of Sweden and also internationally. Our aim is to continue as a hybrid.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The Science Festival is a non-commercial event created by the management in collaboration with partners, universities and other knowledge organizations. Over the three years, we have gradually developed our digital platform to be able to service and manage everything from program content, search engines and booking systems to becoming a completely digital event in hybrid form with live events, interactivity and streaming services to make the content available to many people no matter where they are.
