Purpose and goal

The project aims to broaden the integrations between construction industry parties and enable the industry to become more sustainable by enabling: - sharing data that enables more efficient transportation, reduced number of return transports, as well as better resource utilization and climate impact - sharing data that enables accurate calculation of construction projects´ climate footprints - create an infrastructure for data sharing through integration that ensures future access to data for AI, optimization, and autonomous transportation tools and construction sites.

Expected effects and result

This project promotes the construction industry to take greater steps in sustainability through a digital solution for an integrated logistics system between construction sites, material suppliers and shippers, as well as laying the foundation for data sharing for future automation within the construction industry´s logistics chain. The result will immediately benefit the construction industry upon project completion and lay the foundation for further valuable development for the industry regarding sustainability through digital integrations.

Planned approach and implementation

The project execution is divided into work packages where the partners collaborate by mapping needs, setting requirements, developing integrations, pilot testing, reporting and spreading knowledge results. The project will consist of management resources, technical specialists, business developers, and researchers from academia. Together, they will execute the project, manage risks and work with crucial system dimensions to ensure good project results.
