Important results from the project

InSecTT Intelligent Secure Trustable Things, aimed at bringing the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence together to achieve the full potential of the “Artificial Intelligence of Things". InSecTT is a pan-European effort with 52 partners from 12 countries that has provided intelligent, secure and trustworthy systems for industrial applications that provide comprehensive cost-efficient solutions of intelligent, end-to-end secure, trustworthy connectivity and interoperability to bring the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence together.

Expected long term effects

InSecTT featured a variety of industry-driven use cases embedded into various application domains, i.e. smart infrastructure, building, manufacturing, automotive, aeronautics, railway, urban public transport, maritime, and health. InSecTT solutions have been demonstrated in real-world environments like airports, trains, ports, and the health sector will generate substantial impact. InSecTT has thereby strengtheed Europe’s industry and contributed to making European solutions a frontrunner in cutting-edge technology.

Approach and implementation

RISE coordinated the Swedish part of InSecTT, with additional partners ABB, KTH, MDU, RTE, TietoEvry, and Westermo. The project was structured into Workpackages and Tasks with clear objectives as specified in the Technical Annex, which also defined activities and organisation put in place to ensure that the objectives were met in time and with the agreed upon resources.
