Important results from the project
This project has enabled Dr. Techane Bosona to visit, during December 2015, URP of Griffith University and identify potential project partners from private food distribution companies in Gold Coast city of Australia. Important discussions were held with potential mentors at URP regarding the full proposal, its implementation with relevant partner and future collaboration. Accordingly, a complete proposal is being developed to be submitted to VINNMER Marie Curie Outgoing Academy.
Expected long term effects
The collaboration between SLU and URP has been strengthened during the research visit. Five potential partners from private sector have been identified and a partner will be selected in consultation with the URP. The relevance of investigating innovative food distribution concepts to reduce environmental and economic impacts was discussed. The implementation and expected results of complete proposal have been discussed. The visit has increased Dr. Bosona´s international experience.
Approach and implementation
This planning project was scheduled to be implemented during November 2015 January 2016. Accordingly, preparation was made during November 2015, research visit was made during December 2015, and report writing and development of intended complete proposal was done during January 2016. Further development of complete project is underwayin consultation with potential mentors from URP of Griffith University.
