Innovations for better life, elderly with heart failure

Purpose and goal

The goal of the planning project was to identify and establish contact with key professionals, both inside and outside the organization, which can support the planning and implementation of the innovation contest. The aim was then to, based on the collective skills and experience, produce a solid plan and strategy for the innovation competition.

Results and expected effects

During the planning period, a working group was established with individuals from the development department, purchasing department, the county council´s internal IT organization and research representatives from Linnaeus University. In addition, we established a contact with three other organizations with experience in different innovation competition models. Interviews were conducted with them to acquire additional knowledge in the area.

Approach and implementation

The Working Group created a basis for understanding the conditions and obstacles that existed to implement an innovation competition in the County Council, and took decisions on the models that could be chosen. On this basis and with the knowledge that the group received from external organizations, it was decided that the model that was most favorable in view of the project´s overall objective was PCP. A rough plan has been developed for implementation in the spring of 2014.
