Project duration December 2014 - June 2015
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim of developing procurement skills and gain a deeper understanding of innovative processes and thereby stimulate R & D, is largely satisfied by the implementation of DEVELOPMENT and prototyping. The aim of contributing to the development of market-based solutions have been reached when the seven contestants have developed ideas which all are judged to have the potential to reach the market. Atkins are performing pilot test and at least four other participants have continued developing their ideas, which has already led to business deals.

Results and expected effects

An expected effect has been an active participation in the development of new / additional solution to increase the recycling rate of materials currently turned in to recycling centers, stimulate the industry and develop the role as client. In addition to the contestants, subcontractors, members of SAMSA, researchers and other stakeholders have been involved in the development and prototyping phase. This has contributed to the projects achieved results and the expected effect.

Approach and implementation

PILOT TEST has so far been carried out between February and June 2015. In phase 3, VINNOVA funds the prototyping, not testing. PILOT TEST is conducted in two parts - prototyping and testing. The prototype part has now been completed and testing has begun. Testing is expected to be finished at the end of 2015. The last phase, Basis for commercial contracts, depends on whether SAMSA are natural buyers for the tested solution.
