Purpose and goal
The point of departure is that all innovation begins in human consciousness, and often through cross-boundary meetings between different areas of knowledge,between resources and needs, between questions and answers. Innovation in Mind is an arena for such meetings. The aim is to focus on innovations and their prerequisites how can they be realized? How to encourage new ways of thinking? We want to contribute to a better climate for innovation, and we want to be a catalyst that launches new collaborations and constellations.
Results and expected effects
IIM promotes constructive meetings between different fields of knowledge. The arrangement gives the current and future ´thinkers, doers and movers´ opportunities to meet on innovation-related issues of common interest and provides new knowledge and perspectives on important issues for the future. The arena IIM thus provides opportunity for new knowledge formations that can become the foundation for new innovations and there are several examples where this has worked. 800 participants, 1/3 from countries outside Europe. 10 top international speakers and 30 breakouts session.
Approach and implementation
IIM lasts two days. The first part consists of plenary lectures, with views, perspectives and visions by internationally prominent speakers. The second part consists of some 30 breakout sessions, organized in cooperation with partners from research, industry, government and cultural life. The sessions are carried out in six parallel tracks - Society 1 & 2, Strategy, Technology, Body and Open Track. Moreover including matchmaking, an ´innovation bazaar, an art installation, future food and more.
