Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has been implemented within the framework of the OECD project "Innovation for a sustainable bioeconomy" and contributed with insights on the ongoing transition to biorefineries, on challenges and opportunities, but also lessons for innovation and research policy. The results of the case study are the basis for two OECD reports comparing Swedish development with other countries. A scientific article has been submitted for publication to the journal Energy Policy where the Swedish case is analyzed in more detail.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Within the frame of the study, about 15 interviews were conducted. These were used in combination with a historical review of the development. The authors attended a seminar and workshop at the OECD to discuss the framework and structure of the study, as well as for reporting.
