Purpose and goal

Through workshops and interviews, the project has defined needs for knowledge, methods, tools and activities for increased innovation capability within the Strategic Innovation Programmes (SIP). It has supplied experience of such methods and tools to persons working within the SIP:s. In the project, a web-based platform for collecting and making broadly available knowledge, methods and tools that correspond with the identified needs.

Expected results and effects

The project has resulted in a first version of a digital platform for increased innovation capability, designed to give users from various organisations and companies knowledge, methods and tools that meet their needs. They can also contribute with tried-out tools in a continous, open and involving development process. The project has started the dispersion and making use of the platform through user involving workshops. This will continue also after the completion of the project. Furthermore, the project shows strong synergies between the three initiatives behind the project.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been a design process. In step one, workshops and interviews were carried out for insights in SIPs´ view of innovation processes, users and innovation capability. Step two were activities for increased insights in user driven innovation within selected SIPs. Based on our results, we developed a digital platform for making available resources for increased innovation capability. The process shows the value of combined competences, incl user experience competence, and that dedicated resources for the areas covered in the project are needed to create impact.
