Purpose and goal

The project´s aim is to examine rationale for UbiGo customers to test the Maas service and to evaluate how the service affects the customers´ travel habits. The project mapped the first customers of the Maas service UbiGo Stockholm. Furthermore, customers´ expectations and experiences of the new service have been investigated. Note that the project has examined just the very first customers in a brand new service. About fifty people, almost half of UbiGo´s early customers, participated. The results should be interpreted cautiously due to a small sample.

Expected results and effects

About fifty people, almost half of UbiGo´s early customers, participated in the evaluation. The results should be interpreted cautiously due to a small basis. The typical early UbiGo customer is: highly educated, well-paid man in working age (30- 64 years) with no children in the household. cares less about owning what they use is positively set to use sharing services. has a driving license to a greater extent than others lacks permanent access to a car. Household transportation costs are relatively high. Curiosity was the main reason for testing UbiGo

Planned approach and implementation

The evaluation used an app for collecting travel data and also asked customers a number of survey questions. Due to a low connection to UbiGo, Only about 50 people initially participated (which corresponds to about 50% of all UbiGo customers), The response rate to the questionnaires must therefore be considered relatively good, while data collection worked less well. One possible explanation is that the customers were real customers who wanted to use UbiGo, not participate in the collection of travel data.
