Important results from the project
For each year we have been able to increase the number of ideas with commercial potential that are subject to pre-verification. By using VCF the quality of the pre-verification is improved and it also creates more business opportunities for the projects. We have improved our ability to close down (from a VFT-1 perspective) projects that are shown to lack potential.
Expected long term effects
The estimate for 2014 was 60 granted projects with an average grant of 43,5 KSEK. The result was that 99 ideas from researchers and 552 from students were evaluated. Of these 57 applied for VFT-1 grants and 44 were granted. In addition 8 projects applied for VFT-2 and 2 of these were approved.
Approach and implementation
The weekly decision meetings of IK Fyrklöverns Verification Council has worked out well. During 2014 more people attended these meetings than previous years. We have experienced vulnerability because we have been quite dependent on individuals and, due to different reasons, the several persons have left the team working with pre-verification. The idea flow decreased as compared to 2013. An analysis of this is included in separate attachment.
