Purpose and goal
The conference "Högskola and society in collaboration" is carried out every two years with the aim to spread knowledge and create an exchange of experience between universities and social actors such as business/municipality/ region and
authorities. Based on ideas about collaboration as a development and growth factor, the 2025 conference is being held by Luleå University of Technology and Skellefteå Municipality under the theme "New thoughts for a new era".
Expected effects and result
Originating from the work in a region characterised by a societal transformation that is unprecedented in modern times and where changing conditions led to the transformation having to find new ways to work and learn, the conference is expected to co-create and share knowledge about how academia, business and the public sector can work together to solve Sweden´s skills supply.
Planned approach and implementation
On Wednesday 7/5, the conference and knowledge exchange begins at Campus Skellefteå with dialogues and opportunities to get to know other conference participants. Thursday, May 8, will be filled with lectures and panel discussions with various actors and university dialogues before the conference dinner at Sara cultural center. On Friday, there are opportunities for study visits, lectures and more conversations before the conference is rounded off with lunch.
