Purpose and goal
Financing of the coordination of the EU-proposal ´Cost efficient lignin-based carbon fibres for High performance Light weight structures´ (HighLight), responding to the call ´NMP 2013.2.1-1 Developing new precursors, new processing routes and functionalisations for carbon fibres´. The goal of the project is to develop efficient processes for converting lignin into structural carbon fibres and demonstrate its viability in composite components by establishing low cost per performance solutions.
