Call Impact Innovation: Collaboration for promotion and prevention efforts within SustainGov 2024

Important results from the project

The project goals, focused on testing and exploration, were achieved. A data-driven tool was tested and is considered useful for strengthening a holistic view, cross-sectoral collaboration, and providing a basis for analysis. Through learning labs, insights and lessons were gained on how we can continue to work towards a mission-based and portfolio-driven approach in the county. GROWTH has contributed to deeper collaboration between organisations and laid the foundation for a follow-up project.

Expected long term effects

The long-term effects are a transition to system improvement and sustainable development through - More effective efforts, where the data-driven tool creates a shared holistic view and strengthens collaboration, resulting in more target group-adapted and effective efforts. - Strategic organisation, where lessons learned from learning labs on mission-based and portfolio-driven working methods lead to strategic and flexible management of operations.

Approach and implementation

Three municipalities tested the Prevention Palette tool, which aims to inventory and develop promotional and preventive measures within four important protective factors for children and adolescent´s growing-up conditions. Three learning labs were conducted to explore the governance and management of mission-based approaches to system innovation. The labs focused on complexity and systems thinking, success factors in mission-based work, and governance and leadership.
