Important results from the project

GReaTr’s overall aim was to form a platform that brings together researchers, policymakers and experts in interactive learning and sensemaking processes. This vision was realised through actions to achieve two main goals: 1)creating a platform and thinking space for policy 2)developing knowledge and supporting its use in policy processes

Expected long term effects

Through the establishment of functioning forums for interaction and a series of knowledge and analytical products (including presentations and at least six policy briefs, working papers and academic articles), GReaTr has created an agile platform for exchange and collaboration between the public sector, researchers and other relevant actors. And other ways to build on the existing participation in international networks/groupings and exploratory studies are now being discussed in order to maintain engagement with relevant policy practice outside of Sweden.

Approach and implementation

By developing and testing new forms of collaboration (e.g. "affiliation" of researchers/policymakers to a certain issue or theme for a limited time), GReaTr has succeeded in building networks and mobilizing engagement in the platform. Implementation has taken place by mobilizing different constellations in knowledge development processes (single events or longer processes over time). In addition to this, GReaTr has had continuous monitoring of and participation in international networks/groupings to keep up-to-date knowledge and involvement in exploratory studies.
