Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose of the project is to improve the generated suggestions in our generative design platform as well as to increase the reliability of the generated alternatives with the help of AI. In order to verify and validate the results, a benchmark project will be carried out where aspects such as cost, time consumption, architectural quality and climate impact will be compared to give us a picture of which aspects AI can improve and create added value for real estate developers, municipality and residents.

Expected results and effects

The expected result is that AI in design and planning processes will be used on a larger scale by Sweden´s municipalities. Our plan is to (1) offer a free solution for community building projects in municipalities and (2) develop and anchor the use of AI in the sector. With genetic algorithms and AI, we will create better building concepts and increase efficiency for both the user and the sector as a whole. The expected results and long-term effects are to shorten lead times, reduce risks and redo in the planning processes.

Planned approach and implementation

We will select data sets that have a direct impact on the design proposals. We will map where in the process AI (and which models) make the biggest impact on the value proposition. We will weave together layers of geodata (from multiple sources) and with AI make an educated guess as to which layers are most important to achieve particular design strategies in the generation. We will then work on optimizing the design proposals based on this.
