Important results from the project
The ageing population is increasing worldwide as a result of higher living standards. The elderly of today have higher demands on healthcare quality, while the working population is decreasing, making it difficult to meet these demands. Thus, future healthcare needs further implementation of sensor techniques to deal with these challenges. Hence, we are initiating a multidisciplinary network for technical sensor development for the healthcare sector with emphasis on movement detection and analysis for Parkinsons and Alzheimers disease.
