Important results from the project
Dental care is an important part of the welfare, but at the same time a partly unexploited environment for innovation and cooperation. The aim of Futurumkliniken was therefore to form a testbed where dental professionals can meet to develop and test products, methods and organizational solutions for dental care under the watchword "Bridging innovation and research". By providing tailor-made help based on reliability, objectivity and broad competence in the dental field, Futurumkliniken came to fill this gap and is now well established after three years since start.
Expected long term effects
Futurumkliniken is well established in terms of assignments, the number of innovators and partners involved and how well known the concept is in the branch. The attention in journals and on the Internet has been large. The cooperation-partners who have left commissions have testified about the benefits they have had and a large proportion of the clients who have come to an end have returned again with new assignments. The collaborative model developed has been price-awarded and decision is made that Futurumkliniken should continue after the Vinnova funding has ceased.
Approach and implementation
Tenderers are offered to objectively and competently test ideas, concepts, services and equipment already during the research and development phase. In a large number of test and simulator labs there are qualified test equipment and clinic sites. Through the Advisory Board and the Clinical Testing Network, ideas can be assessed and tested. Certification, financing and marketing, etc. are provided through a comprehensive network of collaborative partners. Overall, Futurum Clinic offers tailor-made help and support for every step from idea to market.
