Results and expected effects

2013 is an important year in the Forum´s history. The intention when the network was started was to see if it was possible to initiate a new thread in the Swedish health care debate, that of knowledge-based decision making. The work would be based on three strategies. First a sterling job of defining policy relevant issues. Forum wanted to work with a wide shot from different interests and different organizations to try to capture the issues that most people can recognize and agree with. From the results to judge, ie the number of participants at workshops, seminars, mmm, we have succeeded.

Approach and implementation

Our strategy involves knowledge compilation both Swedish and international presented in a workshop with selected participants in the form of knowledge acquisition and a very open conversation during Chatham house rules. An exception was made Nov. 28 by three international speakers and three qualified panels. The third part of Forum´s strategy is to publish policy briefs. This part is perhaps the most groundbreaking part of the business. What this is about is that researchers draw concrete conclusions from their research and transfer into practical advice for decision makers.
