Purpose and goal

The project addresses elderly people with a sufficient level of autonomy for independent life. Expected results and effects

The project has delivered a home-based system that enables elderly people to deal with feeding and food-related tasks in a safe, effective and rewarding way. FOOD services has been implemented and pilot tested in three countries for a total of 24 different households. The evaluation framework developed can be used to measure impacts as well as to compare outputs and effects of similar projects. The indicators included in the framework allow comparison of effects both for individuals and organizations

Planned approach and implementation

Data was collected based on a user centered design methodology and on interactions between stakeholder to capture user´s needs as well as to identify services to be developed. An analysis of the indicators were then done to match the correspondence and consistency between the indicators suggested and the context of the evaluation. The analysis of the results were done using theories and frameworks that allow to capture the socio-economic impacts of the services and applications developed and in this manner achieve consistency between impacts, processes, measures and indicators.
