Important results from the project

Supported by Vinnova´s financial assistance, we have submitted FibraVita proposal for CBE-JU innovation action (IA-02) call on 18th september 2025. Vinnova´s financial assistance enable us to strengthen our consortia with 21 partners which includes 5 SMEs and 5 large enterprises that bring market driven industrial expertise, alongside 7 leading RTOs and 1 academia at the forefront of bio-based research and innovation, and 1 cluster representing key stakeholders with 2 non profit organisations.

Expected long term effects

FibraVita is aligned with the EU´s strategic call where the main focuses are replacing hazardous chemicals, improving circularity, sustainability as well as safety in textile industries. The project will be the first-of-its-kind to produce sustainable, circular textile fiber with various functionalities from lignocellulosic residual streams. Primary focus will be to replace fossil-based synthetic fibers with sustainable biobased fibers to reduce environmental impact of textile industries.

Approach and implementation

The project concluded a strengthen collaboration between 21 partners including SMEs, RTOs, academia, cluster and nonprofit organization. We have defined specific work packages consist of various tasks ans sub-task for each partners through bi-weekly consortia meetings. The project is structure by principal objectives which are broken down into specific objectives. Each project objectives are fullfilled by measurable and achievable indicators as well as addressing calls all expected outcomes.
