Purpose and goal
Aims and objectives of the project has been to eliminate the risk in the commercialization of a failure detector, i.e. the cost, function and form of industrial requirements. Improve the business plan and build partnerships. The project is in collaboration with potential customers, suppliers developed a product that is cost-effective to produce and meet customer requirements. Furthermore, the product business plan is updated as results of the project, which also includes a plan and agreement with a company to commercialize the product.
Expected results and effects
The project has resulted in a failure detector that has been verified in the lab and in industrial environment. In order to industrialize the product, the production plans and drawings have been developed and verified. To develop a business plan, a market analysis and in-depth analysis of a few customers implemented. This has led to a sharpened business plan and an agreement with a partner who can bring the product to market. In addition, the project has led to a continuation of where the failure detector will be long-tested and to a project where the technology is used for another use.
Planned approach and implementation
The project has met the targets and deliverables as defined in the application, however, we have had some delays in certain areas and that the implementation has been changed in some parts. We have carried out activities with its own staff rather than with consultants, this because our own established contacts made the work more efficient. We have also moved the cost of materials to work, in order to deal with a number of revisions we have had to do in the design to ensure a robust feature failure detector.
