Purpose and goal
The aim of CAMP is to establish a world-leading excellence cluster by 2035, that supports the transition to a sustainable society through the use of sustainable materials and resilient manufacturing processes enabled by additive manufacturing. CAMP will accelerate the transition of inter-disciplinary research into commercial products and processes, and catalyze the national ecosystem in multi-functional materials and advanced manufacturing to meet the future needs of industry and society.
Expected effects and result
CAMP will establish a world-leading cluster on additive manufacturing that will act as an accelerator of industrial innovation, enabling an increase of the innovation capacity and resilience of Swedish industry, while combating climate changes through novel and sustainable materials and AM technologies. This will enable Sweden to become a global leader in sustainable and resilient additive manufacturing, leading to significant integration of the technology into broader industrial practice.
Planned approach and implementation
CAMP is based on eight well-established and internationally recognized competence centres in Sweden, including more than 100 academic and industrial partners with experienced teams, leadership, expertise, infrastructure, industrial and international network. CAMP will further map national and international ecosystems, mobilize relevant stakeholders, and establish a relevant international network, organization and management structure to ensure rapid start-up and upscaling of the cluster.
