Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to build a flexible cab. Targeting smaller OEM´s and smaller volumes, to offer better solutions for smaller companies. Having achieved this, our goal is to launch the same principles and approach into other sectors .Interest is clearly there. From economical perspective, our flexible approach should improve smaller OEM´s competitiveness. Our future goal is to take the flexible design one step higher and follow the innovative approach to differentiate from mass-production companies.

Expected results and effects

We created one of, if not the first, modular cab . We put a lot of customizable features in the cab, so smaller companies can have an easier access to a quality and modern product. We expect that the idea behind our cab will need some ´adjustment´ of the future user. To acquire a riCab, some creativity will be needed to come to a better result. The closer to the customer approach will lead to a more satisfied customer and better economical results for the OEM. All the different possible configurations, should also lead to a higher product-life-cycle.

Planned approach and implementation

Market analysis detected a need confirmed by our reference group. Different stages have been checked and discussed with the reference group. During the entire process we have kept looking for innovative solutions, ´how can we differentiate?´. This lead us to riMove, integrated lights, double floor, maximum flexibility and configurability etc. The close cooperation with Vision Engineering and two audits by Delvano proved to be viable for project. The current status of the cab, pictures, movies, prototype etc. have created new interest from non-agricultural sectors.
