eHealthlab-Personal Health record - study

Reference number
Coordinator E-HÄLSOMYNDIGHETEN
Funding from Vinnova SEK 259 200
Project duration December 2016 - April 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the preliminary study was to look at the requested needs from users and to see if the platform for Hälsa för mig is suitible to build applications on. In the first instance, a survey was conducted through patient organizations. The result was presented, among other places, at Vitalis in Gothenburg in April. Two companies have developed apps on the platform, and a workshop has also been held to discuss the need for business modeling as well as possible insights needed to interest 3rd party developers.

Expected results and effects

The result has been beyond expectations as to what our citizens want to use a personal health account to. The development environment works, but is based on, to some degree, outdated technology. We can also see that thought ecosystems that are going to be needed around Hälsa för mig requires significantly more work and resources than previously predicted.

Planned approach and implementation

The preliminary study has been conducted with various stakeholders who have been chosen to reflect users and developers who will work with the Hälsa för mig. The work has been conducted independently by the various participants and with regular meetings for reporting and reconciliation. The work has been characterized by a willingness to build something good and useful to the citizens in Sweden.
