Purpose and goal

The aim of the project is to develop and share knowledge of methods, tools and approaches to create regional e-devlopment collaboration to improve services and processes. The objective was to describe this knowledge in a guide. Three guides have been produced in the project, which describes methods, tools, national initiatives and experiences from existing collaborations. The guides have been printed and distributed to all municipalities in Sweden. They have published on the internet and been presented at national conferences.

Results and expected effects

Regional e-devlopment collaboration is difficult but necessary. As the guides describe facts, examples, experiences and a step-by-step model to start and develop regional cooperation, there will be good chances to: Fasten the development of regional collaborations Lowering start-up costs Streamline and improve the quality of already started collaborations Make it possible for small municipalities to achieve the overall objectives of e-development

Approach and implementation

Information collection, identification and description of: Various research papers and publications on the subject. National initiatives in e-developments affecting the regional initiatives. Practical experiences from different organizations which has been working with e-devlopment Workshops with politicians and officials involved in E-utvecklingsrådet i Jönköpings Län. Analysis of the collected information. Formulation of important steps and checklists for implementation. Presentations and quality assurance in different forums.
