Effective education with digital mother tongue support

Purpose and goal

The project has made a inventory of the need and possibilities to use compensatory digital mother tongue support for adult pupils in the Health care education. The result will be more pupils with deeper understanding and who complete their education. The idea has been tested against different stakeholders such as pupils, teachers and employers. The preparation project is established in educations research and the project team is under construction for a development project.

Expected results and effects

There will be many positive effects with compensatory digital mother tongue support in the Healthcare education. More pupils will be able to have an increased and faster speed through the Healthcare education, an examination with deeper understanding, less student loans and more valuable for employers. The community will have less cost for education, increased share of educated personal and the integration process will be faster. The idea can be translated to other education areas and other education levels.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has made a business intelligence and study different models of mother tongue support, specifically different technical systems for support. The analyse shows that the quality secure for the translations into Swedish The project shall identify moments in the courses Healthcare education that pupils with another mother tongue than Swedish finds hard to understand and that the teachers find hard to explain to pupils with another mother tongue than Swedish. The delivery will be a detailed project plan for a development project.
