Purpose and goal

SIS, SEK, ITS, PRV and Swedac will carry out a project aimed at developing an educational package around standardization, accreditation and conformity assessment, as well as intellectual property rights. The education package is intended for use at post-secondary level, either at undergraduate or postgraduate education at colleges and universities, through shorter courses or in other ways focused on already professionals. The goal is to develop the education package during the period 2018-2020.

Expected results and effects

The basic intention is to contribute to the government´s ambitions regarding standardization as expressed in bill 2016/17: 50 Through a new educational package, we can facilitate the understanding of standardization, accreditation and intellectual property rights, as well as increasing market access for new services and products, which increases public utility, and Sweden´s competitiveness as an export nation.

Planned approach and implementation

The project runs from November 2018 to 2020. We plan for a number of physical meetings as well as telephone / web meetings. Coordination between the parties is an important factor. The project will have a balanced ambition that covers the views and needs that exist, why a large part of the project budget is required for several workshops between the parties. The inventory of existing materials, both national and international, will be an important part of the work. Dialogue with teaching staff, authors, production companies and recipients of education will be an essential part of the work.
