Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim was to give small actors in the hospitality industry new opportunities to showcase their destinations and reach new target groups on a par with larger museums in a time of changing travel habits. The goal was to do this through advanced digital tools (AR, kiosks and 360 images) and in a way that is both simple and accessible even to those with little technology experience and a limited budget. This is now available in participating businesses and we have started work on spreading it to new actors around the country.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The effect of our work has been that the participants have succeeded in producing new types of exhibitions, in an affordable way and with a simple way of working, despite a relatively low level of technical experience. The project has resulted in new methods around iterative workshop formats, where we can have a dialogue with the actors to develop the operations and with the new flexible tools, it creates value both for visitors and for the actors. We want to build on this when we meet new actors in other places.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Three major workshops were conducted with three member associations from Skånes Hembygdsförbund. The themes of these workshops were (i) technology orientation and dialogue, (ii) co-design and training and (iii) evaluation and future inspiration. In between, the project group´s work has been interspersed with technology development, design and on-site testing at the actors, which has enabled them to learn and create tailored and site-adapted variants of the digital tools.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
