Reference number
Coordinator AQWARY AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 300 000
Project duration June 2013 - December 2013
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

This project has been to prepare the company for export by developing a plan, establish contacts, protect the IP and development of the company´s processes and functions. Regarding the points above, we have fully met the objective. There is now a plan for the next few years regarding which countries Aqwary will expand to. We also have an application for IP protection. Finally, there are processes and export functionality ready to roll out in a first version.

Expected results and effects

The expected outcomes of this project was to prepare so that Aqwary could start selling and exporting products at least another EU country. Although this product is not available for delivery before Q2 2014, we have already received the first order from a country outside Scandinavia. Therefore, I feel it safe to say that we have achieved the expected effects.

Planned approach and implementation

The project included five development packages with different focus. These were carried out on the whole according to plan, although some re-planning had to be done. Three deviations from our original plan is worthy of comment. 1) It was difficult to find time to travel as much as I had planned. 2) The value of a prototype is large during meetings with potential partners. Time had to be put on developing a ´sales prototype´ 3) We had underestimated the time needed to develop processes and support functions. There we were forced to hire a person full time to meet the goals.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
