Purpose and goal

The project has successfully demonstrated the possibilities of using guided troubleshooting for heavy vehicles. This has primarily been demonstrated by the construction of a demonstrator and the application of the same to different subsystems. Evaluation has been done by comparing with other existing methods. The research front has been moved forward both within the basic theory of guided diagnostics as well as in service design and information management of diagnostic data.

Expected results and effects

The project has contributed by raising the technical maturity on product development of troubleshooting methodology. In addition, the project has helped to strengthen the service design area. The academic and institutional partners have strengthened their positions within their respective research areas. The industrial party has achieved a level of knowledge in which a commercialization of the guided troubleshooting concept has been started. A working demonstrator environment has been delivered and demonstrated in both live demos and in publications.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been conducted through five work packages. Once a quarter, the management team has met and the working group have conducted seminars to sync the work of the various packages. Major demos have been conducted annually where the various results have been merged into a functioning demonstrator. The different disciplines have contributed where e.g. service design that deals with overall questions about how the guided troubleshooting service should work in conjunction with the algorithm development have provided more relevant and scientifically substantiated results.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
