Important results from the project
The ultimate goal of the project was to create a deeper and broader support and engagement from our global ecosystem. To achieve this we developed an integration layer that consists of carefully designed RESP API, SDK and Development Frameworks that enables any third-party vendor to integrate and customize the Cantemo solution. Another goal has been to develop and provide these tools to create additional incentives for our partners to invest in our solution, and therefore strengthen then relationship with them as well as the market and the region they are in.
Expected long term effects
The result is a carefully defined and designed integration layer that consists of REST APIs, Python-based SDK, as well as two Frameworks that makes integration and independent development on top of our system significantly easier. The initial impact has been greater interest and engagement among our partners, especially those who have been involved in the design process and testing of the minimal viable product. Furthermore, customers have realized that they are less dependent on us as a supplier for system customization and extension. All this is in line with our business strategy.
Approach and implementation
The project began by compiling all the requirements internally, by our partners, as well as key customers. This was compiled in a specification that was used as a base for development. We iterated through the specification together with our key partners. Once completed, we started to implement the solution. Early builds including documentation were distributed to partners for testing during the implementation phase. This way, we managed not only to ensure that our implementation was in line with expectations, but we could also create a genuine interest in the target group early on.
