Purpose and goal

The objectives have been achieved. 1. Principles and a framework for an innovation management program have been developed. 2. A mapping of existing methods and tools has been done. 3. The first step to establish an innovation management coach community has been taken. 4. Network meetings and pilots with participating organizations have been done. 5. A model for an innovation management program has been described. 6. The first national innovation management conference has been held.

Expected results and effects

The proposed innovation management program is relevant for all types of companies and organizations, private and public, regardless of sector. The program can include elements such as awareness and alignment, situation analysis, objectives and action plan, and implementation. The impact in participating organizations has been the first steps of their change journey towards increased innovation capabilities, including increased awareness of innovation and innovation management.

Planned approach and implementation

Two pilots have been conducted targeting small and medium sized companies in the manufacturing sector, and organizations in the public sector. The pilots have been done in close collaboration with the projects Innovationsledning i Nätverk (ILiN) and iCare4 Fyrbodal idésluss. Project participants have been RISE, Swerea IVF, KTH, LiU, ModigMinoz and Uddevalla kommun. Reference group: RISE, Tillväxtverket, Vinnova, Teknikföretagen, Almega, SKL, IMIT, KTH, Innovationsledarna, IUC and SISP.
